USArmenia Television Network was established in 2007 by Vaagn Sarkissian and has quickly grown to become the number one Armenian television station in the United States. Armenia TV was founded in 1997 by the Sargsyan family as the first private television company in the newly independent Republic of Armenia. Artem Sargsyan, the family patriarch, has been working in television for over thirty-five years. He is one of Armenia’s most famous television personalities and a highly respected intellectual, historian and author, repeatedly recognized for his numerous accomplishments. Inspired by Artem’s success and dedication, his sons, Bagrat and Vaagn, launched Armenia TV. Armenia TV has been the highest rated television station in Armenia for over 15 years.
